From the Ozarks to Appalachia shouldn’t be too much of a change for Heather. As a nurse, she has learned that all people deserve to be treated like patients worthy of her care. But what happens when all the people you meet in a small mountain town aren’t exactly… human?

Heartbreak paired with a new job opportunity is definitely the work of some sort of outside influence. Heather’s friend blames The Fates, while Heather… well… she would just like to settle into her new house and new job. It should be an easy paycheck; traveling through a small town for just one client. But is leaving her night shift at the ER for a life of clocking in and out during daylight hours really everything she signed up for?
Billy
He should never have been alpha, at least not this soon. Being an immortal makes the death of his parents hit even harder when they were supposed to live forever. Now, Billy has to put aside some of his time spentplaying humanin order to keep his clan in check with the locals. The system he had in place was working great until the pretty nurse bought his house and moved in. Being fated to a mortal human spells disaster for his kind.
